Arts, Culture and Heritage Committee

The Arts, Culture & Heritage Committee was established by Council Resolution in 2008. They advise the City Council on the development of arts, culture and heritage, promote and publicize projects, serve as advocates, and encourage public awareness, networking and collaboration.

The Arts, Culture & Heritage Committee meets the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the Senior Center.

2015-16 Call for Outdoor Sculptures

The City of Dexter, MI is searching for artists to provide 4 new outdoor sculptures, which will be jureid into the current, permanent collection and displayed for 1 year. The artworks will be installed on concrete pads in high profile locations in historic Dexter, Michigan (located 7 miles west of Ann Arbor). These 4 new sculptures will also have complimentary garden displays designed by local garden enthusiasts to enhance the artwork. All work must be for sale and remain in the exhibit for the entire year (August 2015 - August 2016). Each artist accepted will receive a $700 stipend. The deadline for submissions is June 19, 2015.
