The Dexter Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a small town holiday parade on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 6 pm. The parade will start at Kensington and Ann Arbor Street and end at the American Legion on Dexter Chelsea. The route is basically the same as the Dexter Daze Parade.
Applications to participate in the parade will be accepted until Friday, November 23, 2018. Please contact the Chamber at email@example.com or 734-426-0887 for more information.
On Saturday, December 8, 2018 Central Street will be closed from Main to 5th from noon to 7 p.m. and Fifth Street will be closed from Dover to Broad from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. for the Holiday Hustle. Dover, Second, Inverness, Lake, Meadowview, Quackenbush, Noble, York, Dexter Ann Arbor, and Third will also be closed temporarily as the race passes by between 4:00 p.m. at 5:50 p.m. To accommodate the more than 1,000 runners, westbound Dexter Ann Arbor from Ryan/Dan Hoey to Kensington will be closed from approximately 4:40 p.m.
The workshop to assemble kits for the 2018 Christmas Eve Luminaria will take place on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at the City DPW located at 3600 Central St. Assembly begins at 9:00 am. Those interested in helping to deliver the kits should arrive at 10:00 am. The goal is to provide supplies to all City neighborhoods, which requires a significant volunteer effort.
