Pursuant to Michigan Public Act 110 of 2006, as amended, notice is hereby given that the City of Dexter Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing at 7:00 p.m., on Monday, November 20, 2017. The hearing will take place at the Dexter Senior Center, 7720 Ann Arbor Street, Dexter, Michigan. The purpose of hearing is to take public comments regarding the following variance application:
- The applicant, Curtis M. Brochue, on behalf of the Washtenaw County Road Commission, is requesting a variance from Article VII, Signs, Section 7.02, General Conditions, sub-section (3)I, which prohibits permanent signs to be located within a public right-of-way, as follows:
- A variance to allow Walkabout Creek Apartments to install a ground within a public road right-of-way, which is controlled by the Washtenaw County Road Commission.
If the variance is granted, a ground sign for Walkabout Creek Apartments would be allowed within the road right-of-way, which is controlled by the Washtenaw County Road Commission, thus creating a legal non-conformity for property located at 2425 Dongara Drive (08-08-07-100-051).

The application is available for public inspection at the City Offices, 8123 Main Street, 2nd Floor, Dexter, MI 48130; weekdays between 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The application can also be viewed by clicking here. Interested parties are welcome to attend the public hearing and present their comments. Written comments regarding the proposal should be submitted to the Office of Community Development at the address listed above or via email to email@example.com, and must be received no later than 5:00 p.m., Monday, November 13, 2017.
