The Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office has offered the assistance of its Community Work Program to the City. The Community Work Program is an alternative to incarceration program that substitutes community labor, rather than incarceration, for carefully selected offenders. The Work Program provides service to local municipalities and other non-profit organizations throughout Washtenaw County.
Thank you for your patience as we continue to clean up after Wednesday's storm. Please place any downed branches/trees into an organized pile (branches facing one way, etc) at the curb for chipping by the Department of Public Works next week.
Earlier today (March 8) a Waste Management garbage truck accidentally dumped a load of garbage onto Dan Hoey and Dexter Ann Arbor. Representatives from Waste Management were on site to pick up trash in the impacted area. Due to the high winds, they will be returning to the area tomorrow to pick up any remaining trash. If you have trash on your property from this incident that has not been picked up, please send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org or contact the City Office at 734-426-8303.
The National Weather Service has issued a high wind warning. An advisory message from the Washtenaw County Sheriff is below.
